3.12.13 Caine’s Arcade

In todays workshop I was shown a youtube video of a young boy named Caine. Caine a 9 year old boy built an cardboard arcade in his dads auto parts store and had the best day of his life and went on to inspire the world. After the video Caine’s dads auto parts store became an attraction and people across the world went out there way to visit the store to play with Caine’s Arcade.  The video of Caine’s Arcade was spread across the world to inspire creative play and exploring to children .

I found this very video very encouraging, our generation is getting more involved with technology and old fashioned play is now really non existent because technology is exciting and new children are more drawn to it, its taking away children play. The Arcade turned into a global challenge to encourage young children to explore creativity to build their own game.
